-2026 Dynaudio International Jazz Camp is officially launched
Another summer of jazz On August 24, the 2026 Dynaudio International Jazz Camp kicked off at Goer School in Weifang. A total of 71 participants checked in, ranging in age from 9 to 47 years old, covering disciplines including vocals, piano, brass, woodwinds, guitar, bass, drums and percussion.
Six jazz musicians — Aaron Parks, Jorge Rossy, Ned Ferm, Casper Hejlesen, Anders Christensen and Mette Lindberg — gathered here for a week long exchange and teaching alongside Chinese musicians. Following a brief opening ceremony, participants dove straight into ensemble classes to hone their craft. Masterclasses in the afternoon and evening improvisation sessions further broadened their perspectives.

Jazz education in constant motion Among the faculty, Anders “AC” Christensen arguably has the deepest ties to the camp.
A prominent figure in Danish and international jazz circles, AC began engaging with young Chinese talents through educational programmes run by the Danish Jazz Association years ago.
Over the past three years, he has been a key initiator behind the Dynaudio International Jazz Camp, bridging musicians from China and across the globe. This includes saxophonist educator George Garzone, lead faculty of the previous edition, and Aaron Parks, one of today’s leading jazz pianists joining this year’s roster.
They bring not only cutting edge performance techniques, but also profound insights into collaboration, improvisation and composition. It is encounters like these that pass refined jazz heritage on to promising young talents, feeding the growth of new voices.
More than just music Music is far more than something to be performed and appreciated. Dynaudio also explores where music originates, and how it crosses borders, cultures and time to touch audiences. Jazz rooted freedom and creativity embody this spirit of inquiry at its most vivid.
The Dynaudio International Jazz Camp represents an ongoing music education initiative: connecting emerging generation musicians with masters, who help them find their own voices through study, reflection and ensemble playing.
The camp extends beyond the classroom to the stage. On August 27, the six faculty members will present Dynaudio Jazz Masters Night at Goer School Theatre. On August 30, faculty and students will come together for the Dynaudio International Jazz Masters Concert at Weifang Concert Hall, marking the grand finale of this year’s camp with high calibre live performances.
Dynaudio aspires to build more than a short term camp experience: it aims to establish a professional platform for young musicians to thrive. Beyond sound itself, this is a cause Dynaudio is committed to supporting and nurturing long term.
Towards a broader musical world Dynaudio strives to open windows to global exchange for promising young musicians, moving education out of specialised classrooms and into real world creation, performance and everyday contexts.
Jazz is only the beginning. Looking ahead, Dynaudio will explore more musical genres and cultural contexts: from jazz to classical, master classes to support for emerging artists, and specialised training to public facing music outreach.
Authentic voices deserve to be heard, vibrant music deserves to be passed on — and Dynaudio will keep this flow alive.
